I have naturally very dark hair, and I’ve been shaving my legs since I was about 8 … they were very hairy lol. The hair on my legs is very coarse and dark, so I would like to get it all removed by electrolysis. I know it’s expensive, and there are followup treatments, but I really want to do it, so about how much would it cost to do my legs?

Ok I went to a laser hair removal place once & they explained everything to me. It is permanent, however it only will reduce the hair. Ok what about Electrolysis? Is that permanent? I am skeptical about that one because some of the systems are cheap. Please explain if you know

I have a few curious questions about the use of electrolysis to remove rust. While it sounds effective, many internet web pages and forums fail to tell me these details:

Will electrolysis eat away or destroy the etching on old hand saw blades?

Does the process remove japanning on items like hand planes?

How quickly will the tools begin to rust again after being removed from the electrolytic solution, if not dried immediately?

Most importanly:

Should electrolysis be done with an alternating current (AC), or a direct current (DC)? This is the part that scares me the most, and many pages omit this detail!

If anyone feels like going the extra mile, I would love to know about any potential side-effects – good or bad – that this rust-removing process has on tools after they are derusted.
