I’m seriously looking into permanent hair removal of my underarms, is laser as effective as electrolysis?

I’ve read up on places in my area (Philadelphia) all in all, the laser treatments don’t sound too bad, time and price wise, but i’m confused, are they REALLY permanent or is electrolysis my best bet? i\If anyone has had either of these done (preferably on underarms) iIde love to hear about your experiences.

Laser hair removal permanent or just minimized?

I was told that laser hair removal requires about 6 treatments. She also said that the hair will be minimized enough so that you do not have to shave anymore. Can someone please clarify this? Can you still see hair after all your treatments? And is the laser hair reduction permanent after all the treatments?
